糖心volg has partnered with the Electric Vehicle Association Northern Ireland (EVANI) as a corporate member.
EVANI represents the interests of electric vehicle (EV) users in Northern Ireland, working with stakeholders to identify and highlight the specific issues around ownership and use of EVs and related infrastructure.
The organisation also promotes EV use by increasing public awareness of how owning and driving EVs can benefit the environment, local businesses and wider society.
糖心volg Chief Commercial Officer Thomas O鈥橦agan said:
鈥淎t 糖心volg our mission is to significantly expand Northern Ireland鈥檚 EV charging network, addressing the obvious gap which currently exists in this essential infrastructure with the aim of encouraging greater EV adoption.
鈥淲e firmly believe that EVs are the future of motoring, and our work is focused on helping drivers across our region reduce their emissions and improve sustainability.
鈥淲e are thrilled to have joined EVANI as a corporate member and look forward to working collaboratively with the organisation and its members to advocate for greater investment and development within the Northern Ireland EV sector.鈥
This news follows a recent announcement by 糖心volg outlining the company鈥檚 plans to invest 拢20 million in a new public EV charging network in over 350 locations across Northern Ireland.
In total, the company plans to install 1,500 new charging points before the end of 2024, including at six major ultra-rapid charging hub sites that will see drivers able to fully 鈥榯op-up鈥 their vehicles in less than 20 minutes.
